UCLA Campus Human Resources (CHR), in partnership with IT Services, is excited to launch the HR IT Systems Optimization (HRITSO) Program, which will modernize vital HR systems, streamline processes, and improve the overall experiences of HR clients, customers, and the campus community.

UCLA’s history of excellence and its position as the No. 1 public university in the nation have helped ensure that the university continues to employ a highly talented workforce. The development of our diverse and vibrant employee population has since outpaced our HR current technology, resulting in the need to create more efficient processes and improved user experiences. 

HRITSO includes the implementation of three new HR systems – ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD), JDXpert, and iCIMS Talent Cloud – that will significantly improve the processes and user experiences associated with managing position descriptions, compensation actions, staff recruitments, as well as modernize the way CHR delivers HR services to the campus community. The systems will replace core functionality in our current PeopleAdmin system, which will be discontinued by the vendor in early 2024. 

Collectively, these modern, robust systems will:

• Optimize and automate processes related to creating and managing position descriptions, attracting and hiring candidates, onboarding new employees, and requesting services from CHR
• Provide built-in tools, resources, and institutional data to complete related HR tasks effectively and efficiently
• Cut down on time needed to create and submit position descriptions, compensation actions, talent acquisition actions and request other services from CHR
• Provide improved visibility into approval workflows and status
• Allow department HR, hiring managers, and employees to focus less on manual tasks 
• Enable CHR to provide more efficient and effective services to the campus community
