Beginning December 7, 2023, UCLA Campus Human Resources will no longer utilize PeopleAdmin for salary and compensation actions, including administrative stipend, dual employment, salary action request (including equity increases). Users should submit these compensation and salary requests through the Bruin CHR Service Center. For more information about the Bruin CHR Service Center, visit the Bruin CHR Service Center project page.
You must have a user account created to access the internal functions of both the Compensation and Employment modules in PeopleAdmin. Each organization or department has created standardized roles and responsibilities for users of the system. Based on your organization's processes, one (or more) of the following user types may be assigned:
- Preparer — Basic system access with limited access to functions for approval. Requires Department Security Administrator (DSA) authorization and configuration using the DACSS system. See Related Information.
- Submitter (or Back-Up Submitter) — Central approval for organizations or departments with full access to view and edit departmental information. Requires Department Security Administrator (DSA) authorization and configuration using the DACSS system. See Related Information.
- Hiring Manager (or designee) — View applicant information, change applicant status, and may submit closing documents when filling a position. Contact your department or organizational Human Resources/Employment Services representative for appropriate approval.
New users are encouraged to sign up for a PeopleAdmin training class (formal and informal) to ensure effective and efficient use of the many benefits of the system. Hiring Managers may use the online tutorial anytime, anywhere to learn more about the system. Check out the UC Learning Center or contact your departmental Human Resources representative for additional information.
