Eligibility requirements for 2020 SEP applicants:
- UCLA career employee with at least one year of service (at least one year of service in current role as of January 1, 2020, is preferred)
- Contract employees who would otherwise be eligible for the program should contact the program coordinator
- Payroll title of Administrative Specialist (and equivalent titles) or below
- A rating of “Meets Expectations” (or better) on the most current performance evaluation
- Departmental support for participation (direct supervisor and department head)
2020 Application Submission Process:

- The SEP program application includes the digital PARTICIPANT APPLICANTION, (applicant’s information, 5 personal response questions and resume), and the digital SUPERVISOR RECCOMENDATION. Sample application and recommendation can be found on the left-hand panel.

- All components of the application are required and must be submitted before the application will be considered complete.
- A selection committee reviews applications and recommends selected staff for in-person interviews. A final cohort of approximately 30 staff is selected and notified prior to winter closure.
The Staff Enrichment Program has a competitive application process. Evidence of self-reflection and analysis must be clear in competitive applications, as well as career goals that are in alignment with the program objectives. Consideration will be given to applications that show evidence of leadership, collaboration, and personal commitment to growth and development.
