Establishing Rejection Letters

A rejection letter is a courteous message sent to candidates who were not selected to move forward in the hiring process. It informs them promptly and respectfully of the decision, helping them to close the application process with clarity.

Best Practices:

  • Be Brief and Professional: Clearly state the outcome in a positive and respectful tone.
  • Express Appreciation: Thank the candidate for their time and interest in the position and
    company.
  • Encourage Future Applications (if applicable): Invite them to apply for future roles that may
better align with their skills and experience.

A well-crafted rejection letter leaves a positive impression, maintains the candidate's respect for the organization, and strengthens the employer brand.
