UCLA K4 Bargaining Update - June 16, 2022

During the twenty-third bargaining session on June 16, 2022, Teamsters did not provide an economic counterproposal to the University. UCLA was expecting to receive a comprehensive economic counterproposal to their complete package proposal passed on June 8, 2022, which addressed all outstanding articles. UCLA’s complete proposal can be found here. During this session Teamsters passed several non-economic articles and represented that they may pass their economic counterproposal on Wednesday June 22, 2022.

UCLA’s full proposed wage schedule for all K4 represented employees, including all across the board and equity increases, can be found here.

UCLA’s complete economic proposal contained a proposed 4.5% wage increase to all members of the K4 Unit on July 1, 2022, a 3% wage for all on July 1, 2023, and another 3% wage increase on July 1, 2024. The proposed across the board increase of 4.5% in 2022 matches the raise for policy covered staff. These proposed increases total a compounded 10.86% across the board increase for all members of the K4 Unit over the three-year agreement. When taking into account UCLA’s significant proposed equity increases for certain classifications, the following classifications which were identified as being under market will receive additional compounded increases over the next three years:
