Quality Hiring Practices: Effective Interviewing Skills

This live, instructor-led class on effectively interviewing job candidates brings together concepts learned in five pre-work eLearning modules. Learners will bring their completed interview question homework to share for review, directed by a CHR Employment Consultant who will also share additional tools and skills that assist with good interviewing.

PLEASE NOTE: Prior to attending this in-person session, learners must complete the following pre-work online eLearning modules (total duration of approximately 60 minutes):

  • Quality Hiring Practices: The Interview Process and Making Job Offers
  • Quality Hiring Practices: Creating Interview Questions and Rating Guides

Access to the e-learning pre-work is provided after registering for the course and must be completed prior to the live class. (Pre-work estimated completion time is 60 minutes.)

Staff and faculty supervisors and managers at all levels are eligible to enroll. All staff and faculty who do not yet supervise others but aspire to supervisory positions are also eligible to enroll.

This course is part of CHR’s Quality Hiring Practices series. It also counts as an elective course toward the Supervisory Leadership Principles Certificate and as a required course toward the Supervisory HR Principles Certificate. It may also be taken individually without pursuing a certificate.
