2027 Open Enrollment is Here — Take Action by November 20, 2026!

It is time to gear up for 2027 Open Enrollment! Now is your opportunity to review your benefits, evaluate your healthcare needs, and make informed decisions about coverage for yourself and your family for the coming year.

Open Enrollment is happening now through Friday, November 20, 2026. Do not wait until the last minute! Take time now to review your options, understand what is changing for 2027, and determine which benefits best meet your needs. Waiting until the deadline could leave you with limited time to explore your options and complete your elections.

Here is what you need to know and do NOW:

1. Understand UC’s Investment in Your Health Benefits

UC continues to make a significant investment in employee health benefits. For 2027, UC will cover more than 85% of the total cost of medical premiums across pay bands and coverage tiers, contributing an additional $294 million toward health benefits compared with last year.

This investment helps support access to healthcare coverage for employees and their families. Take time to understand your available plans, compare your options, and determine which coverage best fits your individual or family needs.

2. Review Your Benefits and Explore Your Options

Do not automatically assume your current benefits are still the best fit for next year. Consider what has changed in your life and healthcare needs, including:

• Medical coverage: Review available plans, premiums, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
• Doctors and providers: Check whether your preferred doctors, specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare providers are included in the plans you are considering.
• Family and financial needs: Consider anticipated medical care, changes in family circumstances, and how premiums and potential out-of-pocket expenses fit your budget.
