Human resources responsibilities are a part of every supervisor's role. This self-paced course examines the importance of considering equity, diversity, and inclusion while carrying out those HR tasks and guides learners through practical ways to act on the concepts shared in the course.
- After completing this self-paced course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize federal laws, state laws, and UC / UCLA policies that strongly connect to equity, diversity, and inclusion (“EDI”) in the workplace
- Identify connections between laws/policies and day-to-day EDI efforts in the workplace
- Implement ways to weave EDI principles into the day-to-day supervision of a team
- Recall the UCLA resources available for providing assistance with HR issues related to EDI.
