The University and Teamsters Local 2010 Skilled Trades (K4) met for their third and fourth bargaining sessions on January 12 and 13, 2026. The parties continued their progress and have reached tentative agreement on twenty-nine (29) articles, most recently tentatively agreeing to Article 20 – Medical Separation. During this week’s sessions, the University passed proposals on six (6) articles and appendices, and Teamsters Local 2010 passed eleven (11). Both parties have demonstrated their diligence in these negotiations. The discussions centered around the University’s interest in precluding work stoppages during a closed contract, both sides’ mutual interest in incentivizing employees to obtain and maintain specialty certifications, and continuing resources for important items like safety shoes and training and development. The next bargaining sessions are scheduled for January 26 and 27, 2026.
