UCLA K4 Bargaining Update No. 1 - December 1 and 2, 2025

Bargaining commenced on December 1 and 2, 2025, between the University and Teamsters Local 2010 on behalf of the UCLA Skilled Trades Unit “K4.” The bargaining teams met and exchanged opening remarks recognizing the importance of the negotiations, the impactful work done by skilled trades employees, and mutual interest in productive negotiations. Teamsters and UCLA proposed maintaining current contract language in some articles. Teamsters also provided the University with articles containing proposed changes. The University responded to many of Teamsters’ proposals. 

These initial sessions were highly productive. Tentative agreement was reached on twenty-eight (28) articles. More than half of the fifty-one (51) articles in the current contract have been tentatively agreed to. Negotiations between UCLA and Teamsters are ongoing and the parties are scheduled to meet again on January 12, 13, 26, and 27, 2026.
