UCLA Resources for Transition

UCLA is committed to creating a healthy and supportive environment for each employee and to administering all policies fairly and equitably. It is the policy of the University to minimize layoffs required by budget reductions and to consider staffing reductions only after other creative solutions have been considered.

The UCLA Resources for Transition: A Guide to Support Bruins is designed to provide individuals with additional information during a time of transition due to a layoff or other staffing reduction. Below are available resources, tools, contacts, and services that may help depending on your individual needs.

Please contact your department’s human resources unit if you have any questions. Furthermore, if you are represented by a collective bargaining agreement, please reach out to your union representative if you have questions about the layoff process and your rights.

You may also contact Campus Human Resources, Employee & Labor Relations at (310) 794-0860.
