Dear Colleagues:

The University of California is proposing revisions to Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) 30 – Salary, including a change in title to “Compensation.” The policy applies to staff employees in the Professional & Support Staff and Management & Senior Professional personnel programs.

The policies that have been integrated into PPSM 30 – Compensation are:

  • PPSM 30-Salary
  • PPSM 31-Hours of Work
  • PPSM 32-Overtime (Non-Exempt Employees Only)
  • PPSM 33-Shift and Weekend Differential (Non-Exempt Employees Only)

We would appreciate your assistance in circulating the proposed policy to policy-covered staff in your organization. Because this is a formal review, comments are encouraged and will be considered before a final policy is adopted. Questions and comments from campus staff should be directed to Manager Lazetta Smith at or from health sciences staff to Director Maure Gardner at by January 9, 2015.
