UCLA K4 Bargaining Update - July 15, 2022

Teamsters passed an economic counterproposal on July 15, 2022, which proposed an approximate 30% wage increase. The proposal included the following across-the-board increases:

  • July 1, 2022:    8.75%
  • July 1, 2023:    6.25%
  • July 1, 2024:     5.75%
  • July 1, 2025:     5.5%
  • July 1, 2026:     5%

The Union’s proposal also included a $5,000 hero bonus for all employees hired before January 1, 2022, which would cost approximately $3 million dollars.

Teamsters also passed counterproposals on the following 5 articles:

  • Article 2 – Classifications and Reclassifications
  • Article 11 – Promotion and Transfer
  • Article 14 – Overtime
  • Article 15 – Pay Differentials
  • Article 33 – Parking

The parties continue to engage in productive discussions and make movement on the remaining articles.
