The fifth bargaining session between Teamsters Local 2010 and UCLA took place on February 1, 2022. The parties were able to meet in person for the first time. The University and Teamsters each exchanged three proposals for Article 19 – Work-Incurred Injury or Illness, Article 20 – Medical Separation, and Article 21 – Reasonable Accommodation. The parties expressed mutual hope in reaching tentative agreement on these articles shortly. The parties also had significant discussions regarding transfer and promotional opportunities for the facilities worker job classification. The University agreed to conduct a workplace violence prevention training for the Teamsters Local 2010 bargaining team during the next scheduling bargaining session on February 3, 2022. UCLA looks forward to continuing positive bargaining momentum through productive negotiations and reaching tentative agreements during the next bargaining session.
