Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the 2017 Distinguished Career Award, the Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) Award and the Rising Star Award. Each year, the Administrative Management Group (AMG) shines the spotlight on employees who have been dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in their careers at UCLA. We received many outstanding nominations this year.
Congratulations go to the following 2017 AMG award recipients:
For the Distinguished Career Award, two awards will be presented this year:
- Renee A. Fortier, Executive Director, Events & Transportation
- A posthumous award to Jeff Averill, Campus Architect, Capital Programs
For the Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) Award:
- Cathy Rodgers Ward, Chief Nursing Officer, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
For the Rising Star Award:
- Alexis Oberlander, Student Affairs Officer, Urban Planning
All award nominees will be recognized at the AMG reception scheduled for June 22, 2017, from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Morgan Center, Press Room. To view the list of nominees, visit the AMG website.
Supervisors are encouraged to approve release time so that employees can attend the celebration on June 22, 2017, provided that the absence would not infringe upon the performance of required job duties. Because space is limited, an RSVP is required to attend the event.
