Campus Human Resources is pleased to announce the 2025–2026 Management Development Certificate Course Schedule. This certificate program is designed to enhance management effectiveness as well as prepare current managers for future opportunities. In addition to learning management theory, participants work with peers, team members, their own managers and other colleagues on the application of new skills to real-world scenarios. |
The Management Development Certificate curriculum consists of 17 courses, any of which may be taken individually without pursuing the certificate. Certificates are earned by successful completion of 10 courses — six required courses and four electives. |
The program is intended for employees at the Management & Senior Professional level, including Career Tracks Manager classifications and Professional levels 4 and 5. Other classifications will be considered where the position includes broad decision-making authority, supervisory accountability and/or project-management responsibility. |
Registration for the courses is conducted via the UC Learning Center. Instructor-led workshops are primarily held online and early registration is encouraged. Self-paced courses are available 24/7. More information is available on the Management Development Certificate web page. |
Managers are encouraged to participate in this program, which is unique among UC campuses. Development opportunities for supervisor-level leaders are available through the Supervisory Certificate series. |
