Professional Development Program Nominations (2022-23)

UCLA

Nominations are now being accepted for the Professional Development Program (PDP) 2022-23. Applications are due by April 4, 2022.

As one of our most successful career development programs, PDP assists the University in the development and retention of a highly skilled, diverse, and motivated professional staff. The program has a demonstrated record of enhancing skills, strengthening institutional loyalty, and broadening participants' knowledge of University affairs.

The Professional Development Program is beginning its 28th year and features advanced skills training, mentoring, coaching, networking, and career assessment. Participants design and execute an individual Capstone Project for their department or organization, with an emphasis on developing and tracking metrics to assess the project’s impact and success.

Professional Development Program eligibility requirements include:

  • Full-time, career employment in Professional & Support Staff (PSS) Grades 2-6, Career Tracks titles at the Professional 3-5 level, or Career Tracks titles in the Supervisor 2 category
  • Department endorsement for participation
  • Minimum of one-year of service in a career appointment at UCLA by August 1, 2022

Additional program information, as well as application instructions are available on the Professional Development Program web page.

The application period closes on April 4, 2022.
