Dear Colleagues:
UCLA Policy 136: Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect has been updated to align with technical updates to the Presidential Policy on Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (PDF). The updates were made to comply with AB 1963, which expanded the definition of Mandated Reporters to include adults who supervise minor employees and certain human resources employees, including academic personnel staff or other such location employees who are charged with handling discrimination complaints as defined by CANRA.
As part of the formal process for revising UCLA Administrative Policies and Procedures (APPs), we are soliciting feedback on the amended document, which is now available for a 30-day review and comment period on APP's Under Review website. Employees may submit comments via the website. Any questions specific to UCLA Health may be forwarded to Jane Miller, Director of Employee and Labor Relations in Health Human Resources at janemiller@mednet.ucla.edu.
All comments are due by January 24, 2022. If you have any questions about the policy process, please contact Anna Joyce at ajoyce@conet.ucla.edu
Sincerely,
Lubbe Levin
