UC staff and non-Senate academic employees who are interested in serving as the 2019-2021 Staff Advisor to the UC Board of Regents may apply for the position through Monday, April 1, 2019, at 5 p.m.
The Staff Advisor Program provides the opportunity for two staff and/or non-Senate academic employees to participate in open sessions of designated committees of the Board. One new Staff Advisor is selected each year for a two-year term and he/she brings the voice and perspective of staff and non-Senate academic employees to Board deliberations.
The current Staff Advisors to the Regents are Sherry Main, UC Santa Cruz, and Kate Klimow, UC Irvine.
You are eligible to serve in this role if you:
- Are a staff or non-Senate academic employee. The seat is open to both non-represented and represented employees.
- Have at least five years of UC service.
The term for the Staff Advisor position that is currently open for applications runs from July 2019 to June 2021. For more information about Staff Advisors, visit the Staff Advisors’ website.
