UC Workplace Violence Prevention Training

As part of UCLA’s ongoing commitment to safety and well-being, the required annual UC Workplace Violence Prevention Training is now available via the UC Learning Center. This important training was developed in accordance with California Senate Bill 553 to help employees understand, recognize and respond appropriately to workplace violence and escalating behavior, ensuring a safer environment for everyone.

The course is designed to be concise and should take approximately 25 minutes to complete.

How to Access the Course

Employees are encouraged to complete the training as soon as possible via the UC Learning Center. Use the following guide to log in:

  1. Login to the UC Learning Center at https://uc.sumtotal.host/.
  2. Click the “Required Training” button.
  3. Click “Start” to launch the training.

If you don't immediately see the course on your "Required Training" page, continue with the following instructions:

  1. Type “%ActivityName%” (without quotes) in the Search field and hit Enter (or click the magnifying glass).
  2. Click the “Start” button to launch the course.
