Campus Human Resources is pleased to announce the start of recruitment for the 2026-2027 Staff Enrichment Program (SEP). This year-long professional development initiative is designed for staff in support roles to foster their professional growth within the University. The application window is open from March 2, 2026, to April 3, 2026.
Program Components
- Program Retreats: Two full-day professional development retreats hosted on campus.
- Monthly Workshops: One three-hour skill-building workshop each month of the program.
- Capstone Project: Participants will apply the skills they have developed throughout the program to complete a project of their choosing that supports their department and expands their professional expertise.
- Individual Career Coaching: One-on-one coaching with a trained career management coach.
Eligibility Requirements
Full-time career employees at the following levels:
Professional & Support Staff (PSS) Grades A-D & 1Career Tracks titles in the Professional categories 1 & 2
Career Tracks titles in the Supervisory 1 category

- At least one year of service at UCLA as of August 1, 2026, is required. At least one year of service in the current role is preferred.
- Contract employees who would otherwise be eligible for the program should contact the Professional & Career Development Coordinator for additional requirements.
- A rating of “Meets Expectations” (or better) on the most current performance evaluation.
- Departmental support for participation (direct supervisor and department head).
- Selected participants must be able to travel to and attend workshops and other events on campus (Westwood, CA) and in person.
- Selected participants must have access to Zoom, as well as a computer with a camera and microphone, and a private space to participate in remote meetings.
The SEP application includes the participant application, submission of a professional resume, and a recommendation from the applicant’s direct supervisor.

A selection committee reviews applications and recommends selected staff for interviews via Zoom. A final cohort will be selected and notified in June. Program activities require approximately 10 hours of release time per month. The program begins with an orientation in July 2026.
