2022-2023 Staff Enrichment Program

Campus Human Resources
To: Administrative Officers, Deans, Department Chairs, Directors, Vice Chancellors and Vice Provosts
Dear Colleagues:
Campus Human Resources is pleased to announce recruitment for the 2022-2023 Staff Enrichment Program (SEP), celebrating its 43rd year in August.
This highly successful, one-year program is designed to foster career development and provide skill-building opportunities for staff in administrative support positions. Participants design and execute an individual Capstone Project that enhances their own or their department’s operational functioning and builds skills that support career advancement within the University.
Key program goals include the following:
  • Empower staff to become active agents in their professional and career development
  • Foster a learning environment with focus on expanding skills and knowledge
  • Offer tools and frameworks to set and achieve goals, manage performance, and develop professional networks
Departmental support is required in order to provide release time for participants, who will average approximately 10-12 hours per month in the program. During the year, close communication is maintained among participants, their supervisors, and program staff to ensure that development activities remain consistent with department needs.
Program Eligibility
The Staff Enrichment Program is available to career employees who meet the following criteria:
  • Full-time career employees in Professional & Support Staff (PSS) positions that are classified at the Career Tracks Professional 1 & 2 or Supervisor 1 levels
  • Department endorsement for participation
  • Minimum of one-year of service in a career appointment at UCLA by August 1, 2022
We encourage you to identify appropriate staff members in your organization in eligible classifications who might benefit from this investment in developing their potential. The application for the 2022-2023 program is due by Friday, April 15, 2022 and the program begins in August 2022.
