2010-11 Management Seminar Series

DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS

I am pleased to invite campus leaders, including faculty, managers, and senior professional staff, to participate in the 2010-11 Management Seminar Series.

Rising to the Challenge: Managing Complexity in Today’s Workplace is the theme of the new series, and it continues our partnership with the UCLA Anderson School’s Executive Education Program. The program, designed to strengthen management competencies to effectively lead a diverse workforce in a fast-changing and challenging work environment, will feature presentations by national experts in the field and interactive dialog with participating campus peers and colleagues.

Quarterly sessions are offered by Anderson School faculty and distinguished outside speakers on these topics:

  • Leading Multi-Generational Teams, Robin Johnson
     Oct. 28, 2010
  • Mentoring and Networking, Audrey Murrell
     Jan. 19, 2011
  • Change Management: Improvising Creative Solutions, Craig Fox and Bob Kulhan
     March 8, 2011
  • Operations Management: Modeling, Analyzing and Optimizing Process, Kumar Rajaram
     April 14, 2011

For more information about the series, review the eBrochure in Related Information. To enroll, please visit the UC Learning Center, also in Related Information, and select the Management Seminar Series category.

Package enrollments enjoy priority, since space is limited. Departments may reserve a package and designate in advance different participants for selected seminars. The fee for a complete Seminar Series Package is $500 and $165 for individual seminars.

We appreciate your ongoing support of CHR Training and Development efforts to enhance leadership preparation. Please contact Marisa McCarthy (marisa@chr.ucla.edu) for enrollment assistance and Robert Gibson (rgibson@chr.ucla.edu) for program information. We look forward to seeing you at the 2010-11 Management Seminar Series.

Sincerely,

Lubbe Levin
