Teams and teamwork are essential in today’s workplace. An understanding of team development concepts can help supervisors and managers create cohesion and enhance effectiveness of their work groups. This self-paced course will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding team-development and teambuilding concepts
  • Diagnosing the level of team functioning
  • The supervisor’s role in building a team
  • Key components that make a group a team
  • The importance of group dynamics and communication

This course counts as an elective course toward the Supervisory Leadership Principles Certificate

Supervisors and managers at all levels are eligible to enroll. All staff and faculty who do not yet supervise others but aspire to supervisory positions are also eligible to enroll.
