President Napolitano has authorized the Chancellors to move forward with the 2018-19 Merit Pay Plan for Policy-Covered Staff.
The overall merit pool will be 3 percent for eligible policy-covered staff, calculated on the payroll base of filled positions in eligible job categories. Merit increases will be effective July 1, 2018, both for those on a monthly pay schedule and for those paid on a biweekly schedule.
The guidelines do not apply to exclusively represented employees, whose salaries are determined in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and/or meeting-and-conferring under the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA). In addition, the plan excludes student employees and anyone covered by Academic Personnel Policies.
