Proposed Revision to Investigation and Adjudication Framework for Staff and Non-Faculty Academic Personnel under the SVSH Policy

The University of California Office of the President (UCOP) is proposing a revision to the Investigation and Adjudication Framework for Staff and Non-Faculty Academic Personnel (Staff and NFAP Framework) under the Presidential Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Policy.

As mandated by the California State Auditor (CSA), the Systemwide Title IX Office revised the framework to require the Chancellor or Chancellor’s designee to consult with their campus Title IX Officer on discipline for staff and non-faculty academic personnel found in violation of the SVSH Policy.

You may view the Staff Frameworks Revision (PDF) online.

Please note that this change is required by CSA, and the Systemwide Title IX Office is soliciting feedback only on the redlined change (not the document as a whole).

As with all formal University policy reviews, employees are encouraged to provide comments on the proposed revisions. Comments or questions from the campus should be directed to Chandra Bhatnagar, Director, Staff Diversity & AA/EEO Compliance Office, at cbhatnagar@chr.ucla.edu, or Mohammed Cato, Director, Title IX/Sexual Harassment Prevention Office, at mcato@equity.ucla.edu, by March 4, 2019.
